I partner with churches for a single weekend—photographing Sunday morning and offering low-cost portrait sessions for the community.
I don’t just drop in for a Sunday and disappear — I build real connections in the communities I visit. I connect with pastors ahead of time to understand what makes your church unique. Many of the communities I work with are intentionally affirming and inclusive, and I care a lot about creating images where people feel genuinely seen and at ease.
Many of the churches I work with invite me back year after year, so this becomes something your congregation can look forward to.
When I’m with you, I’m not just documenting what your church looks like — I’m trying to capture what it feels like to be there.
What I provide
Each collaboration is a single weekend:
Sunday morning coverage
Staff & clergy headshots
Building and exterior photos
I pay special attention to the moments that often get missed — the conversations before and after the service, the people who make things happen behind the scenes, and the small interactions that show what your community is really like.
How it works
There’s no cost to the church.
The weekend is made possible through pay-what-you-can mini sessions with your congregation on Saturday.
20-minute sessions
I handle all scheduling and delivery
For many families, couples, and individuals this becomes an opportunity to have photos taken that they might not otherwise prioritize — especially for those in a season where cost is a barrier.
What makes this different?
Most churches already have people who can take photos — and that’s a good thing.
What I offer is something different:
A fresh set of eyes on how your church feels to someone new
Space for people in your congregation to be seen — including those who are usually behind the camera
I’m not replacing your team — I’m complementing it.
Why this matters
When someone visits your website or social media, they’re asking:
“Would I feel comfortable here?”
“Would someone like me belong?”
Perfect, highly-produced images don’t always answer that.
Real moments do.
A genuine laugh.
A conversation between services.
People who actually care about each other.
Those are the moments that help someone imagine themselves showing up.
Why I do this
I’m in church on Sundays anyway.
This work gives me a meaningful way to connect as I travel — I get to be part of the community, even if just for a weekend.
And when I come back the following year, those connections are still there.
As a gay Christian, I’m grateful for affirming church spaces, and that gratitude shapes how I approach this work — especially in helping LGBTQ individuals and families feel comfortable and fully themselves.
My relationship with Jesus has changed my life, and I see our world longing for the hope, belonging, and truth He provides. Through these collaborations, I want to serve churches in sharing that same hope—whether by capturing moments that help a visitor feel “I could belong here,” or by hosting sessions that draw people in.
Let’s start a new tradition

Is there a cost to the church?
No. There’s no cost for the church.
How does this work financially?
The weekend is supported by mini sessions with the congregation on Saturday. That’s what allows me to offer the Sunday coverage at no cost to the church.
How can we promote the mini sessions?
I provide ready-to-use graphics and simple copy—you just share them with your community.
Is this disruptive to worship?
No. I work quietly, without flash, and aim to be as unobtrusive as possible.
How can we use the images?
However you’d like — website, social media, newsletters, print materials, etc. You’ll have full access to the gallery with no restrictions on use.
Can individuals book photos outside of the mini sessions?
If there’s interest, I’m always open to additional sessions while I’m in town.
Can we speak to another church you’ve worked with?
Absolutely — I’m happy to share references.
